Furthermore, some come with software that can sequence pages automatically, and the resolution is often good enough for emailing contracts. The best document cameras also double as a convenient document scanner, and are a lot more portable than a traditional flatbed scanner. Is there an affordable (no more than $150 or so) document camera that doesn't need software AT ALL? Or, one that hooks up directly to a projector and a way to attach it wirelessly to my ceiling mounted projector (it has various inputs, hdmi, usb, etc).So if you're speaking or teaching in a classroom, lecture theatre, meeting room or conference space, the best document cameras offer a great way to bring your subject to life (which is why they're often referred to as 'visualizers'.) You can also connect them to conferencing tools like Zoom and Google Meet, or use them for live streaming via tools like OBS (Open Broadcaster Software). Here is the challenge: I am more than willing to buy my own document camera, but we aren't allowed to install software to our computers (and IT already told me no when I explained the catch 22 they have me in). Our district gave out iPads to the teachers last year, and have said 'no more repairs to the doc cams since we gave out iPads.' Between our shoddy air server connections and unnecessarily difficult process to connect to air server, I am less than interested in using my iPad as my document camera. My document camera buttons aren't working. I can't find a better sub to ask this in, so I appreciate any help I can get here!
